2023 Landscape Design Award of Merit

Land+ received the Landscape Design Award of Merit for the Chapel and Mausoleum of Peace Gardens at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Holly Scoggins, PPA President, presented the awards to this year’s winning firms at PPA’s National Symposium in Niagara Falls. Karen Steenhoudt represented Land+ at the ceremony.

2022 Best Restored Shores Award to the Delaware Center for the Inland Bays

The Delaware Center for the Inland Bays received the Best Restored Shore Award by the American Shore & Beach Preservation Association in 2022. As part of her Capstone project at Temple University, Karen prepared the concept design for this unique project.

Karen received the 2020 Merit Award by the PA-DE American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) for her Capstone project “The changing landscape drives public garden programming at the Delaware Botanic Gardens.” at Temple University

2019 John Collins Drawing Award

In 2019, Karen received the John Collins Drawing Award. Hand drawing was an entirely new skill she had to learn while studying Landscape Architecture at Temple University.
